KODW – Knowledge of Design Week 2016

KODW2016

Organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) has been entering the 11th year in a row.  With the theme of “design. cities. health in the new economy”, around 20 local and international business and creative leaders will be invited to share their experience, using case studies to demonstrate how innovative services and product designs applying to public and private health care, rehabilitation, health services and digital healthcare products so as to enhance quality and efficiency, reduce production cost and strengthen more personalized service for patients and customers.  As such, it enables the participants to understand the latest development and trends of healthcare industry, leading to a healthy living in the city.

Living in an era of limited resources, aging population, changing pattern of consumption and lifestyle; Internet of Things (IoT) and high-level technology increase the accessibility of information, making various types of services and industries actively expand cross-border collaboration in order to seek continuous innovation.

Our KODW has been covering a wide range of topics including retail and hospitality (2014-15), inclusive design (2013) and aging market (2012).  Last year, HKDC has received nearly 650 participants predominantly from South East Asia Region, such as Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea and the Philippines.
